The Metaphysical Poets

John Donne, Andrew Marvell, George Herbert, Thomas Carew, and Henry Vaughanthese were some of the seventeenthcentury writers who devised a new form of poetry full of wit, intellect, and grace, which we now call metaphysical poetry.
