Local Anesthetics

Local Anesthetics addresses a category of drugs widely used in anaesthetic practice. Because more and more operations and other procedures today are done using regional anaesthesia instead of general anaesthesia, an understanding of the pharmacology and clinical uses of local anaesthetic drugs is necessary for all anaesthesiologists. The book is divided into two main sections: The Basic Sciences, which addresses physicochemical properties, pharmacockinectics and pharmacodynamics, and The Clinical Sciences which includes dosages, CNS effects, complications, and future directions.
