In todays globalized world, all people are within six stepssix links of acquaintanceshipof every other person in the world. Yet a significant percentage of these people we all know live in abject socioeconomic misery, exploited, and without enough food or education, and often ill. How is it possible that these people are only six steps away from us? How can human misery continue despite the economic, technological and moral progress mankind has made? Human rights are intended to alleviate human misery and contribute to a dignified life so isnt this widespread, socioeconomic human misery a violation of peoples human rights, and especially of their economic, social and cultural rights? This book addresses the rights, the wrongs, the law, and what we need to do.
